In order to increase the contribution of the qualified workforce, which develops through technical education, to the national economy, Körfez MTAL, the pilot school of our "Vocational High School, Future Guarantee" project, which we have been carrying out since 2018, has been included in the "Vocational Education Cooperation Protocol" with the protocol we signed with the Körfez District Directorate of National Education. we included. Thus, our Körfez MTAL pilot school was registered as our 3rd school within this scope in our province and as our 84th school across the country.

As a result of our “Vocational High School, Future Guarantee” project and the “Vocational Education Cooperation Protocol” signed by MEB, TOBB and TOBB ETÜ, Körfez Chamber of Commerce has a vision to develop a vocational education model in which young people who have access to technical knowledge that will guarantee employment upon graduation are trained, It implements the groundwork of a future where all the problems in terms of qualified personnel will disappear, by considering all the details. In accordance with this purpose, our students will learn the works and processes at different levels by applying today's technology and equipment in the businesses we have protocols, and will gain experience in these workplaces that are currently continuing production.

 KTO's Vocational High School, Future Guarantee Project Grows With Solid Steps

With the protocol we signed with our Chamber and Körfez District National Education Directorate on 01.10.2021 at the Körfez District Governor's Meeting Hall, it is aimed to develop the training range for practice and increase its contribution to the country's economy, taking into account the solution-oriented demands of the sector.

For this purpose, all processes such as the control of the administrative affairs of the Vocational and Technical Anatolian High Schools, the content of the technical curricula, the training of the practitioner teachers, especially the planning of the necessary activities for the transition to production-based education and the inclusion of these activities in the education processes are carried out by the Chamber.

To the Vocational Education Cooperation Protocol signed with our Chamber and Körfez District Directorate of National Education; Körfez Chamber of Commerce (KTO) Chairman of the Board Recep Öztürk, KTO Board Member Fatih Sleep, KTO Secretary General Berat Nas, Körfez District Director of National Education Sergülen Kurt, Körfez District National Education Branch Manager Yahya Ali, Körfez Deputy Mayor Osman Yurt, Körfez Yahya Öztürk, Chairman of the Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen, Kemal Aktaş, Director of Körfez Vocational Training Center, and the Managers of our Vocational and Technical Anatolian High Schools in our Körfez District attended.

Korfez District Director of National Education, Sergülen Kurt, who constantly expressed his sensitivity on the subject throughout the event, said: “Our vocational education institutions are the apples of our eyes and the places where qualified workforce is produced, which is the most important issue needed in our production phases necessary for our country to rise to the level of contemporary civilizations. In this respect, we consider the Vocational Education Cooperation Protocol that we signed today with our Körfez Chamber of Commerce to be very valuable for the sector and our pilot school Körfez MTAL and other vocational training schools to be a bridge.

Recep Öztürk, Chairman of the Board of Directors of KTO, one of the most important actors of the project for our province: “We are grateful to our trainers in our Vocational High Schools for their dedication to educating the children of this country in the best way and to gain experience in the professional field; but we also need to take responsibility for our children to be experienced in their professions. We need to determine the needs of the sector very well and transfer them to our vocational schools very well, constantly be in these schools and convey the developments and provide material and moral support. When necessary, support should be given to the updating of the education curricula, when necessary, our educators should be supported to update themselves and guide their students in the right direction, and when appropriate, so that our school laboratories can catch up with the latest technological developments. We are striving to make our vocational high schools more qualified and to make our students who come out of them more sought after in the market. With the "Vocational Education Cooperation Protocol" signed with the Ministry of National Education, TOBB and TOBB ETÜ and today we, as Körfez Chamber of Commerce, signed with our District National Education Directorate, Körfez MTAL and of course other Vocational Technical Anatolian High Schools in our district, which we are the coordinator of, become more qualified and meet the needs of the market. We have increased our strength one more step to produce the required workforce. We are very happy that our Gulf will raise its stars in their professions, as we will provide more added value to the employment in our region.” he said.

We organized many activities within the scope of our “Vocational High School, Future Guarantee” project; We held meetings with employers and identified the problems and solution suggestions that emerged during the internships at the workplaces. In order to show the value and importance of vocational education to our children, we have prepared public service ads and brought together vocational high school graduates and our students on their career days, who can be role models.

We hold meetings to raise awareness of our parents, who are the most important supporters of our youth while determining their careers, we work with Kocaeli University Social Sciences Faculty on professional disposition aptitude tests, we carry out training/practice collaborations with our professional chambers in our province, we plan technical trips to encourage our students to their professions, take part in EU projects and expand their horizons to our students. We provide opportunities for them to take part in the projects they can open, and we carry out activities with our Development Agency to establish simulators and laboratories that will facilitate education.
