Regulation on the Definition, Qualifications and Classification of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises

Putting into effect the attached "Regulation on the Definition, Qualifications and Classification of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises"; It was decided by the Council of Ministers on 19/10/2005, according to the additional article 1 of the Law on the Organization and Duties of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, numbered 3143, upon the letter of the Ministry of Industry and Trade dated 28/7/2005 and numbered 5674.

Goal

Article 1 - The purpose of this Regulation; To determine the principles regarding the definition, qualifications and classification of small and medium sized enterprises and to ensure that these definitions and principles are taken as basis in the applications of all institutions and organizations.

Scope

Article 2 - This Regulation; It covers the determination of the application procedures and principles regarding the definitions, qualifications and classification of small and medium sized enterprises and these enterprises.

The provisions of this Regulation shall be taken as basis in the implementation of the legislation concerning small and medium sized enterprises. But; Organizations that provide support to SMEs can determine their own sector and size priorities, provided that they do not exceed the limits specified in this Regulation. For applications other than state aid, only the number of employees can be taken into account.
