Vocational High School Future Guarantee Project Strengthens with the Cooperation of Sector Representatives and Educators

Körfez Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, the protocol school of Körfez Chamber of Commerce (KTO), took another important step within the scope of the Vocational High School Future Guarantee Project. Within the framework of the program carried out in cooperation with the school management, sector representatives, Provincial and District Directorate of National Education, visits were organized to the workshops of the school.

During the examinations in the workshops operating in the fields of metal, machinery, furniture, electricity and chemistry, the production and working processes of the students were closely witnessed. During the visit and at the meeting, special attention was paid to occupational health and safety issues, and various reminders were made to sector representatives.

During the meeting, the internship and employment status of final year students were discussed. Employers and educators exchanged views on what needs to be done to improve vocational education. In addition, lobbying activities for relevant institutions and organizations were also discussed and solutions were sought to make vocational education more effective.

The school management thanked the enterprises that participated in the meeting and provided internship opportunities to vocational high school students and stated that they will ensure that the cooperation will be further strengthened and promising steps will be taken for the future. KTO President Recep ÖZTÜRK, who also took the floor at the meeting, said: "Since 2018, with our Körfez Vocational High School, we continue to train the sought-after employees needed by the sectors in our region with the slogan <Körfez Raises Stars in Professions>. We employ 70% of our graduated students in our enterprises with the support of our sector representatives and the remaining students continue their academic education. We are constantly striving to increase this employment rate by increasing our practical and theoretical education quality." 

Through such collaborations, it is aimed for young people to establish closer ties with the sector during their vocational training and to step into business life in a more prepared manner. The Vocational High School Future Guarantee Project stands out as an important step towards training a qualified workforce for Turkey's future.
