Öztürk who made a statement at the April Assembly meeting, said "Another important issue of April was the extension of the short-time working allowance, which is very important for the business world and ended as of March, which we demanded as all chamber presidents and our umbrella organization, for another 3 months. We would like to thank the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey Chairman Rıfat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the President of the Republic Recep Tayyip Erdoğan who pioneered the decision to continue application of shor-time working allowance, covering April, May and June, to be valid for all sectors by taking into our demands. Also, we would like to express clearly that there is an urgent need for the postponement of the taxes and similar payments to the public and the provision of new loan supports to our business."
ÖZTÜRK "THE EXPLANATION OF THE GENOCIDE IS REALLY MISFORTUNE IN TERMS OF TURKEY-USA RELATIONS"
At the April Assembly meeting, Öztürk who made a statement about USA President Joe Biden's use of the word 'genocide' related to events happened in 1915, said "US President Joe Biden used the word 'genocide' related to events happened in 1915 and went down in history as an indicator of the distortion of history for the political interests. It is really a misfotune in terms of Turkey-US relations that the Biden management chose to present history incorrectly for intranational political interests. We think that labeling the event of 1915 as anything other than tragedy is wrong and harmful, and political and deliberate misunderstandings of our history will not defer us from embracing and protecting our brothers and sisters with whom we share a common destiny."
