The Korfez Chamber of Commerce January assembly meeting was held under the management of the Speaker of the Assembly Güngör AYHAN. The January assembly meeting started with the singing of the National Anthem in accordance with the pandemic and social distance rules in the KTO Cemalettin Fidancı Assembly Hall.

Chamber activities presentation was made by Vice President Mustafa Gülçan. Sharing the current customs and export data with the council members, Gülçan said, "We follow that the good progress of the export data is promising" regarding the current economic situation.

"VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL OUR FUTURE GUARANTEE"

Stating that there is a shortage of intermediate staff in all sectors and that there will be a need for much more technical personnel in the next period, Gülçan got to know the students of Körfez MTAL, which has been the pilot school of KTO since 2018 and was included in the MEB and TOBB Cooperation Protocol in 2021. He emphasized the importance of providing them with a qualified internship opportunity and then permanently employing successful and moral students.

CONTINUE MEMBER VISITS

Korfez Chamber of Commerce committee and council members continued to visit members either by phone or physically in accordance with the pandemic rules, and to receive and follow the requests, opinions and suggestions of the members throughout the pandemic. With the start of 2022, member visits continued at a very rapid pace.

Deputy Chairman Gülçan said, “With the start of 2022, we continue to increase our speed with our committee and council members, collect the problems of our members, convey them to the relevant authorities and follow the results, and continue to explain our Chamber services. In this context, we would like to express our gratitude to all our committee and council members who made visits to support us.” said.

TOBBUYUM ANNOUNCED ITS ACTIVITIES

Onur Yüksel, General Manager of TOBBUYUM Mediation and Dispute Resolution Center, attended the KTO Assembly meeting online and informed the members about the mediation services provided by TOBB. Stating that their centers were established all over Turkey, Yüksel stated that they resolved approximately 2,500,000 disputes in a very short time, without creating a burden on the court, through mediation. Stating that the services provided by TOBBUYUM include mediation, online mediation, negotiation, consultancy and training, and arbitration, Yüksel said, "Members who want to reach us can reach us through our Chambers or our contact numbers."

2 COMPANIES ATTENDED MEMBERS PROMOTIONS

Two companies took the floor in the member introduction part, which takes place every month in KTO council meetings.

Esasturk Mining Ltd. Sti. Giray Faruk Esastürk, who took the floor on his behalf, answered the questions of the members by giving detailed information about the current export opportunities in the Moroccan country market, since they are actively doing foreign trade with the Moroccan country.

Hüseyin Aslan, who took the floor on behalf of Aslan Consulting in the second place in the company promotions, gave information about the advantages of establishing foreign trade in Belgium and the surrounding countries and what are the government incentives.

The Assembly meeting ended after the February meeting date was unanimously accepted.
