Körfez Chamber of Commerce May Assembly Meeting held under the presidency of President of the Assembly Meclis Başkanı Güngör Ayhan. At the assembly meeting, Körfez Chamber of Commerce Chairman of the Board Recep Öztürk made important statements about the economy.

REGULATIONS REGARDING TAX AND PREMIUM DEBTS ARE NEEDED

Öztürk who pointed out that businesses that limited their activities or had to close due to the covid-19 epidemic, which started in March 2020 and whose effects are still ongoing, could not fulfill their obligations, said, “In this context, our demand is to postpone tax and premium debts. This support will enable our businesses to quickly recover from the difficulties they are in. We look forward to the implementation of additional supports.” Körfez Chamber of Commerce Chairman Öztürk pointed out that the food and beverage sector has been closed since the beginning of the pandemic, and said that the companies in the sector were the sector that suffered the most during the epidemic and said "Inıtially, opening our cafes and restaurants in a way that can serve in the open area; announcing the opening dates of hotels and wedding halls is among the priority issues in terms of planning the activities of the sector.” Also, Öztürk who emphasized that special support is also needed for tourism and travel agencies and the education sector, said, "For all the sectoral problems experienced during the pandemic period, both our chamber and TOBB took all kinds of initiatives on behalf of the sectors.
