KTO AND AZERBAIJAN MET IN BILATERAL NEGOTIATIONS

The Board of the Korfez Chamber of Commerce and the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation and the virtual fair participants came to an arrangement at the opening meeting held before the fair.

KTO, which has held two virtual fairs in the process since the pandemic, brought its members from the building-construction sector together with Azerbaijani businessmen.

Korfez Chamber of Commerce Chairman Recep Öztürk, who made the opening speech, said, “Every organization we organize with Azerbaijan is very valuable for us because we are two different independent states of a single nation, in two different geographies. Therefore, we do not see ourselves as different from you because we want it to be known that all the lands of the Republic of Turkey are also in the heartland of Azerbaijan.”

WE MUST STRENGTHEN OUR ECONOMIC RELATIONS

Öztürk also mentioned about the economic relations in his speech and said, “Actually, when we look at the Turkey-Azerbaijan relations, we see that they have a multidimensional qualification, and we see that one of the important aspects of this multidimensionality is bilateral and multiple economic relations. Although the mutual investments and bilateral trade volume in bilateral economic relations are not at the desired level, the developments in recent years and the increase in the level of institutionalization allow us to look to the future much more positively. Turkey's investments in the non-oil sectors in Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan's investments in the energy sector in Turkey draw attention in this process and we are happy to see strong business partnerships taking place,".

The event organized for the KTO construction and building fair aims to strengthen commercial networks, communicate, exchange experiences between the provinces of Turkey and Azerbaijan, as well as reduce the effects of Covid-19 on our business life and establish new business partnerships.
