Körfez Chamber of Commerce continues its sectoral evaluation studies without slowing down. The final report of the "Logistics Sector Current Situation Analysis" project, implemented within the scope of the Eastern Marmara Development Agency technical support program, was shared with the members of the 9th Professional Group (logistics-transportation). The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Recep Öztürk, President of the Körfez Chamber of Commerce, with the organization of the 9th professional committee.

INTENSIVE PARTICIPATION FROM THE SECTOR

The organization held at the Körfez Chamber of Commerce Mustafa Efe Conference Hall was attended by East Marmara Development Agency General Secretary Dr. Mustafa Çapoğlu, Körfez Deputy Mayor İbrahim Çırpan, Kocaeli Chamber of Commerce and Gebze Chamber of Commerce sector representatives, and members of the Körfez Chamber of Commerce professional group attended. Information was given about the Körfez logistics map and the value-added works of the sector. Afterwards, all participants were asked to make evaluations by giving a word. Notes were taken regarding the sectoral problems and solution suggestions that the participants wanted to add.

NEED FOR LOGISTICS CENTER IN KÖRFEZ DISTRICT

As a result of the research; It was emphasized that the logistics center will play an important role in the evolution of the Körfez logistics sector from port and transportation to logistics. In the shared report, “In the transportation sector, freight forwarders (freight forwarders) warehouse, warehouse, customs, laboratory, container loading-unloading station (CFS), vehicle parking lot etc. elements of the logistics sector, parking, vehicle repair and maintenance centers, technical inspection facilities and other supporting activities related to logistics, accommodation etc. of the members of the logistics sector. There is a need for a logistics center with facilities for social needs. Establishing a logistics center in Körfez district will both provide a solution to the problem of background in the ports and be an advantage for companies dealing with logistics and trade in Körfez district. statements were included.

GENERAL PROBLEMS OF THE TRANSPORT INDUSTRY ARE DETAILED

Dr. General problems compiled as a result of field visits by Muhammed Bamyacı, Board Member of Körfez Chamber of Commerce Abdullah Baki Susam and Secretary General of the Chamber Berat Nas; application of the base price, implementation of the license plate restriction, support in the process of harmonization with u-etds (electronic tracking control system) and digital tachograph application, ensuring the transfer of the authorization certificate, problems experienced in vehicle inspection stations due to tax debt, problems arising from fuel stations, need for cooperative authorization certificate, bridge and highway toll discount, problems at roadside checkpoints, compulsory financial liability insurance policy, state support for heavy commercial vehicle purchases, high fuel prices, insufficient government support and incentives in the transportation sector, problems related to dangerous goods logistics (legislation-cost problems ), legal problems related to load safety, and the length of time to file lawsuits for workers' receivables.

KÖRFEZ TRANSPORTATION INDUSTRY PROBLEMS SHARED

At the meeting, the transportation sector problems of the Körfez were shared with the participants. Among these problems; lack of vehicle inspection station, lack of logistics center, lack of accommodation and social areas, need for container storage area, inadequacy of connection roads to main arteries, urban traffic jam, overpass / underpass / intersection / lack of signalization, lack of professionally qualified personnel, lack of trained personnel, lack of drivers for the transport sector were listed.
